Fairfield Community Project

Print design and art workshops in collaboration with Aakad, Afshan, Aoreana, Anibal, Anna, Christian, Katrina, Laver, Maryam, Rahaf, Sam and Valentina, in partnership with Fairfield High School Intensive English Centre for The Social Outfit.

My role during this project was both facilitator and designer. Over six weeks, I worked with project participants to create artworks featuring people, animals and the creative worlds in which they live. Each student practiced familiar skills and acquired new ones across painting, drawing, weaving and collage. At the end of these workshops, I collaged pieces from each participant’s artwork to create a collaborative repeat pattern design for clothing and accessories.
